André Chapman, Founder, and CEO Emeritus of The Unity Care Group left his promising Silicon Valley career in high-tech sales to work full time in the field of foster care. Some questioned that move. But thirty years later, Unity Care Group, serves thousands of foster children, youth and families, while stimulating revolutionary improvements in the fields of foster care, juvenile justice, mental health and public education.

Now as an author Roses in Concrete – Giving Foster Children the Future They Deserve; he brings to light the need and process to transform our broken foster care system.

Speaker & Trainer

As a speaker and trainer he engages many communities in the business and not-for profit worlds with issues related to effectively engaging with communities of color, addressing and eliminating inequities in formal systems, life experiences of an African American in today’s society and our responses, and giving foster children the future they deserve.

His vision is to change the foster care systems into places of healing that keeps families together.

André Chapman earned his Bachelor of Science in Business from San Jose State University in 1988, his Masters in Organization Management from the University of Phoenix in 2001, and a Certificate of Completion in Strategic Perspectives on Non-Profit Management from Harvard Business School in 2004.
